My stay at Sonesta Columbus Downtown was a mix of positives and frustrations. The hotel's location was ideal for easy access to the convention center and downtown attractions. but the experience fell short when it came to the amenities and service. While the rooms were clean, they were smaller than expected. Additionally, the high-priced breakfast and parking options left a lot to be desired.

Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in was clean, but smaller than expected, and the overall decor felt a bit dated. It had some basic amenities, but I was disappointed with the lack of thorough housekeeping during my four-day stay.
Service
5.0
The front desk staff were not particularly helpful when I had questions about breakfast credits and parking. On one occasion, I felt a bit condescended to when asking for clarification. While there were kind staff members, it seemed inconsistent overall.
Location
8.0
The location next to the convention center was very convenient for attending events and exploring downtown Columbus. I appreciated being able to walk to nearby attractions without needing to drive.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast options were quite costly, and despite having a daily credit, it didn't roll over as I had initially been told. The prices felt excessive for what was offered.
Facilities
5.0
I noticed the public areas were clean, but the outdated feel of the hallways was a bit off-putting. The parking service had discrepancies in pricing that left me frustrated.

I had a mixed experience at Sonesta Columbus Downtown. The staff really were friendly and tried to help me out with my booking issue, which was a plus. However, my room was surprisingly noisy, making it hard to get a good night's sleep. Plus, the construction nearby added to the disturbances, which was pretty frustrating.

Rooms
5.0
My room was comfortable but had some maintenance issues. I found it a bit dusty in places, and the window blinds didn't block out much light, which made it hard to sleep in.
Service
8.0
The staff were accommodating and handled my reservation mix-up well, which I appreciated. They actually went above and beyond to make sure I was happy during my stay.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location was pretty convenient for getting to nearby attractions, like Nationwide Arena. But it wasn’t super easy to find due to its visibility on the street.
Dining
5.0
While the on-site dining options were convenient, I found the breakfast prices way too high for what you get. Would have liked a bit more variety or at least more reasonable prices.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel had decent amenities overall, but the elevators were a hassle, with one always out of service, which was quite inconvenient during my stay.

However, noise issues from hallways and an incomplete housekeeping service marred the experience. Overall, it didn't leave me very impressed. 🤷‍♂️

The staff was friendly, but the housecleaning service was unreliable. I had to request cleaning multiple times, and it didn’t happen as promptly as you'd expect.
Location

The hotel was in a good location, just a short walk from the arena and convention center, making it easy to access events. However, the atmosphere of the area fell short of my expectations.
Dining

Dining options were limited and quite pricey, particularly the breakfast buffet, which didn't feel worth the cost. Unfortunately, I had to find my morning coffee elsewhere since there was no coffee shop on-site.
